Job description / Role
• Planning and Reporting: Preparation of budget, preparing rolling forecasting, actual performance reporting vs budget/targets, analysis of major variances and proposed actions to address issues.
• General accounting: Custodian of GL, timely recording of transactions & timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Profitability improvement: Pricing opportunities, product cost reduction, minimizing cost of doing business.
• Active participation on setting short & long term strategies & initiatives for the Company
• Fixed Asset management
• Efficient cash management
• Negotiation & relationship with banks
• Ensuring sufficient funding lines are available to meet obligations
• Preparation of cash flows
• Advising management on cash flow situation
Requirements
• Professional Qualification – Any of the following: CFA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA (Preferably CFA)
• 10 years functional experience of which 5 years should be in an equivalent position
• Management Experience in Manufacturing Environment/ FMCG similar industry experience
• Middle East Experience
Functional Knowledge:
• Strong technical & Analytical skills
• Thorough knowledge of Accounting practices
• Understanding of IAS/IFRS
• Strong knowledge of corporate taxation
• Internal Controls
• Good communication
