Job description / Role
The KSA Retail Compliance Manager ensures the KSA Digital Attacker operates according to SAMA's policies as well as other KSA regulations.
* Scrutinize the KSA regulatory environment to identify relevant regulation affecting the KSA Digital Attacker
* Ensure the KSA Digital Attacker's policies and procedures comply with SAMA's rules as well as other governmental laws associated with banking in KSA
* Work closely with Group Compliance/local compliance to ensure consistency in policies and messaging with regulators
* Continuously research and manage KSA banking regulations and other laws (e.g. consumer protection and public interest), to ensure internal banking policies and procedures are always up to date
* Work closely with the KSA Retail Operations Manager in overseeing compliance procedures in all aspects of daily operations related to the digital attacker and advise on risk management
* Advise, oversee, and train the banking staff on KSA compliance procedures and educate on the impact on the organization caused by non-compliance
* Install robust and effective internal compliance systems of control to meet external requirements
* Pro-actively identify and manage Compliance risk
* Monitor and conduct periodic reviews of policy and procedure to track and report compliance and drive continuous improvement
* Advise the product development team in the Digital Factory on regulatory aspects affecting the solutions being developed
* Review KSA Digital Attacker features and backlog items and inform the team of any compliance issues early on in development process
* Coordinate with the Journey and Platform Owners to approve product increments
* Proactively engage with regulatory bodies( all SAMA related entities including sandbox regulatory body) during start-up to ensure adherence to all requirements and preempt any unseen challenges
* Work with regulatory bodies to approve new products currently not catered for in existing regulations
* Mandate investigations related to possible non-compliance; highlight or escalate areas of concern
* Be the main source of contact with external audit companies
* Liaise with other managers in KSA retail organization to ensure correct protocol is followed
* Review responses to specific customer enquiries and correspondence with government agencies to ensure they are complete and proper
* Review marketing materials, presentations and websites to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
* Undergraduate/Master's degree in finance, business, economics, or law
* 5+ years of experience of KSA regulatory compliance in financial and payment services
* 3+ years of experience in Islamic banking and Sharia-compliant products
