Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

As a Fire Protection Design Engineer you would be responsible for conceptual and detailed design of active and passive fire and life safety systems in residential, commercial and industrial / oil & gas type facilities both onshore and offshore. This would include hydraulic calculation, gas flow calculations, hazardous areas classification, and the preparation of fire engineering design basis reports, detailed engineering drawings and specifications in accordance with NFPA codes and standards and using software packages including AutoCAD, PIPENET etc.

Requirements

• Degree qualified –BEng or BSc with relevant experience in Fire Protection Industry (essential)
• Post Graduate / NICET / CFPS qualification in Fire Engineering
• Experienced user of design software for water & gas flow calculation
• Knowledge of fire engineering calculations and software etc.
• Understanding of American (NFPA and ICC/IFC) and British design standards
• Good level of computer literacy in Windows, Excel, MS Project and other Microsoft products.
• Minimum 10 years industry based experience in the design
