FLS Engineer (Fire Engineering Specialist) NEOM Site

Westlakes Recruit is currently recruiting for an experienced Fire Engineering Specialist to support the NEOM The Line project on a permanent basis in KSA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical guidance to Design Consultants through regular review meetings and formal requests for information.
• Serve as the single point of contact for technical issues between the Design Consultant and wider NEOM functions, sectors, and departments.
• Lead design review of technical deliverables, ensuring alignment with THE LINE Codes, Standards & Guidelines, and Requirements.
• Promote consistency in design solutions across THE LINE.
• Identify key risks in the Risk Register and engage in mitigation discussions.
• Escalate high-risk design issues to the appropriate Subject Matter Expert.
• Drive innovation and best practices in design delivery by appointed consultants.
• Integrate considerations for innovation, sustainability, operations, and maintenance.

• Degree and/or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field or equivalent. Chartered Membership of a recognized professional institution or Professional Engineer status is preferred.
• A minimum of 15 years of professional experience, with significant exposure to the Middle East being advantageous.
• Strong discipline and international industry presence.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Codes, Standards & Guidelines related to electrical distribution systems and energy storage. A working knowledge of fire detection, communication systems, and other extra-low voltage distribution is required.
• Deep knowledge of the sustainability industry.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate clear technical direction and excellent social, networking, and presentation abilities.
