Food and Beverage Supervisor

Job description / Role

On a behalf of high-profile client, we are looking for outstanding Food and Beverage Assistant to hire urgently, it is preferable to have work experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC.

Our client is seeking a Senior Food and Beverage Assistant responsible for providing food and drink to guests. This can involve direct table service or it can involve topping up buffet selections with fresh food, serving guests in the buffet queue or working behind a bar mixing drinks.

Job Duties:
• Setting up marquees, arranging tables and assisting with the preparation of event spaces
• Greeting guests as they arrive at the venue, directing guests to tables, providing menus and taking orders
• Delivering food from the kitchen to guests at the table or to a self-service area
• Assisting Chefs by washing vegetables, assembling sandwiches, sourcing ingredients from the stock room or plating up dishes
• Keeping any bar and drink service areas fully stocked with beverages
• Taking drinks orders and serving drinks to guests at their table or throughout the venue
• Opening wine bottles at the table and pouring drinks for guests
• Wiping down tables and chairs, removing rubbish and clearing event spaces

Requirements

• Ability to provide guests with up-to-date information and directions while attending the function
• Excellent food service skills, including the ability to carry three plates and to deliver drinks on trays
• Ability to work well with other team members and to follow directions from supervisors
• Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and ability to follow basic recipes
• Excellent knowledge of food and drink pairings, particularly wine pairings
• Ability to mix cocktails and create drinks to order
• Knowledge of kitchen cleaning and pot washing equipment, such as industrial sinks or high-pressure hoses
• Valid food hygiene certificate from the Food Standards Agency
• At least one year of experience in a waitstaff, bar or kitchen environment
