Food Safety and Hygiene Director

Job description / Role

Our client is leading hospitality, catering, and service provider in KSA, and currently seeking for a Food Safety & Hygiene Director(KSA National). The role is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The successful candidate will plan, organize, direct, and control the activities of the Food Safety & Hygiene of the organization, and ensure achievement of the standards and level of productivity in line with the company’s objectives. This job is also responsible for overseeing the Food Safety & Hygiene strategy and plan, managing development of Food Safety & Hygiene activities, updating new national and international developments, and coordinating with relevant government entities to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory law.

Roles & Responsibility:
- Formulating a Food Safety & Hygiene strategy in accordance with company’s manual and objectives.
- Develop the business plan of Food Safety & Hygiene Department in line with company’s direction.
- Develop, review, and monitor the implementation of the Food Safety & Hygiene standards.
- Maintain contingency plans for emergency plans.
- Maintain effective and proactive relationship with government entities.
- Implementation of Food Safety & Hygiene objectives and monitoring progress
- Represent the company on official Food Safety & Hygiene meeting with competent authorities.
- Manage operations of Food Safety & hygiene department
- Investigate Food Safety & Hygiene complaints, develop reports and recommend CAPAR
- Prepare and monitor department annual budget and monthly forecasting
- Plan and perform audits on Food Safety & Hygiene
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Advance in Food safety & Hygiene training and certifications (i.e. ISO 22000)
- Advance in Strategic Planning
- Advance in computer proficiency
- Advance in report writing skills.
- Advance in Leadership ability, People Management
- Knowledge of Laboratory Analysis.
