Freight Forwarding Manager

Job description / Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Freight Forwarding Manager to lead our logistics operations in Jeddah. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of freight forwarding, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and compliant transportation and delivery of goods.

This role demands strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and in-depth knowledge of international shipping regulations. Besides above. he/she should manage the overall administration of the branch as well.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the administration activities of the branch
- Oversee and manage all freight forwarding operations including import and export activities.
- Coordinate with carriers, customs brokers, and clients to ensure timely and accurate shipment processing.
- Develop and implement cost-effective transportation strategies while maintaining compliance with international trade regulations.
- Manage and supervise the freight forwarding team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with freight forwarding activities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor market trends to adapt freight forwarding strategies accordingly and capitalize on new opportunities.

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in freight forwarding or logistics management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Comprehensive understanding of international freight forwarding regulations and customs documentation.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
- Effective communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient with freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary:
SAR 10,000 to 20,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
