Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a leading developer in Saudi Arabia. It aims to manage industrial and commercial enterprises and services, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, residential and commercial complexes, tourist resorts the purchase of land and building, and investing in it by rent or sale for the company.

They are currently looking for a General Legal Counsel for their office in Khobar

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Oversee the different legal activities and maintain adherence to the legal rules and regulations.
• Provide legal advice and follow up all legal issues related to the company with any law firm.
• Completion of the procedures for Ordinary and Extraordinary General Assembly. Along with the preparation of its records, ratification and all related legal proceedings.
• Attend Board of Directors meetings to respond to legal inquiries and prepare minutes of meetings.
• Follow up company legal issues with the law firm and submit requested documents or memos.
• Respond to all legal inquiries from company departments and advice legal opinion. And review the legal aspects for administrative decisions and correspondence and statements issued by the company to government agencies/authorities.
• Respond to investor’s correspondences and direct notifications and warnings in case of delay in payments or breaches the terms of the contract.
• Review of credit contracts and payment remittance with finance department and contractor’s clearances with the company (business and financials).
• Manage company start-up procedures in regards of contracts and documentation.
• Maintain valid authenticated signatories for company legal representatives with cooperation of HR & Administration department.
• Follow all legal aspects at governmental authorities.
• Guide the staff in executing their respective responsibilities towards the achievement of the section’s goals and objectives as well as those of The Company
• Establish the performance plans for direct subordinates; guide them in establishing performance plans for their respective subordinates
• Participate in the identification of training and development initiatives for all employees within the section
• Drive the engagement and satisfaction of all employees within the section through holding periodic meetings to discuss the achievements and address any employee issues and/or concerns.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Law or Master’s degree in Law
• Full awareness of Saudi commercial law and Labor law.
• Experience in auditing and legal techniques.
• Decision making skills and Managerial Skills.
• 10 – 12 years of experience in legal field
• Knows in Saudi Law, Held a managerial position in legal department.
• Fluent in English & Arabic Languages
