KFSH&RC Completes 110 Lung Transplants to 110 Patients, the sophisticated, innovative techniques used in conducting the lung transplantations commensurate with the patient's underlying health condition have enabled the hospital to reach 110 lung transplants by the end of 2016. KFSH&RC Launches a programme for Children Patients' Education in Cooperation with The Ministry of Education for long-stay inpatient children. This comes as a step towards supporting student patients to avoid any interruption to their studies and to help them prepare for their exams at various education stages.

KFSH&RC Inaugurated the newly renovated Orthotics & Prosthetics Department and launches new technologies with computer aided equipment that allows digitally precise manufacturing of devices that will be of great benefit to patients. Re accreditation by College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), American Society of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI), Joint Accreditation Committee for ISCT-EBMT (JACIE), and ISO 17025.

Description
Scope of Service: Haemodialysis

HOURS OF OPERATION:
The Unit provides acute and chronic hemodialysis twelve hours per day, six days per week. Two on-call Staff Nurse I are available to cover acute cases when the Units are closed. Vascular Access Intervention Suite specific:
The Unit provides vascular intervention 10 hours per day, 5 days per week. An on-call staff is available to cover urgent cases when the theater is closed.

KFSH&RC Hemodialysis (HD) Units are hospital-based units providing acute hemodialysis, chronic hemodialysis, Hemofiltration, Hemodiafiltration and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) for adult and pediatric patients. The patients are categorized as having acute renal failure or chronic renal disease and many have multiple medical diagnoses. Care is provided to patients of all ages from neonatal up. Their treatment regimen require close monitoring and prompt nursing intervention when necessary, to ensure a safe and comfortable treatment.

Requirements

Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Evidence must be provided.
- Current Registered Nurse Licensure from country of origin required. Evidence must be provided.
- Six (6) years hospital experience as a registered nurse with two (2) years nursing leadership experience required. Evidence must be provided.
- Currently working or recent experience in hemodialysis nursing specialty area is a requirement.
