Description
Scope of service: Operating Room

The Operating Room (OR) provides a service to all inpatient units, out-patient units, DayProcedure Unit (DPU), and Surgical Adult, Pediatric, and Neonatal patients. The surgical procedures are either elective or emergency cases depending on the procedure classification as defined by the surgeons across different surgical specialties and subspecialties, but not limited to the following: General Surgery - Laparoscopic and Open procedures, Colorectal, Orthopedics Adult and Pediatric Congenital Corrections, Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Ophthalmology, Hepatobiliary, Plastic, Breast and Breast Oncology, Pediatrics and Bone Marrow Harvest, Urology, Vascular, Kidney Transplant, Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN), Maxillo-Facial and Dental, Neurosurgery, Thoracic and Cardiovascular specialties. Occasionally, emergency procedures for neonates and post-cardiac surgery will occur in Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CSICU) respectively.

The Operating Room consists of seven (7) OR surgical suites, one (1) Labor and Delivery (L&D) Caesarian-Section OR, one (1) Minor OR, and one (1) Hybrid Catheterization Lab.

Requirements

Requirements

Educational Requirements:
- Masters or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Post Graduate certification (AORN/or equivalent)
- Current registered nurse licensure from country of origin required

Experience Requirements:
- Four (4) years of hospital experience as a registered nurse with at least two (2) years of nursing leadership experience with Master - Degree, or six (6) years of similar requirement with Bachelor's Degree is required

Other Requirements:
- Post Graduate certification in Health Services Management will be an advantage
- Demonstrated history of Operating Room management, preferably in multi-cultural setting
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
