Head of BDM – Testing, Inspection & Certification (SAUDI NATIONAL)

Job Purpose:

Role holders will be responsible for providing leadership and managing sales and business development targets and initiatives for the entire kingdom.

Responsibilities:

• Develop overall selling plan / positioning / pricing / strategy for all clusters to achieve overall sales and business development objectives.
• Direct and ensure the effective achievement of Sales objectives through setting departmental and individual objectives, managing performance, motivating staff, recruiting staff and providing formal and informal feedback, and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance.
• Review and approve all country / region sales plans so that they are in line with Tasnee strategies.
• Review and approve budgets and business targets and ensure compliance and achievement of the same.
• Reviews and approve new market entry strategy as well as risk strategy based on country legislation / competitors and market intelligence.
• Approve all aspects related to contracts within the limitation of authority / risk / pricing for various locations and country / regions to ensure legal, commercial and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the market related to competitors, products, discounts etc.
• Ensure that all reports related to sales and business development are prepared accurately and timely for senior management / Leadership level.
• Coordinate and facilitate with the marketing and the product development functions to prepare business case for market entry strategy.
• Develop channel development business plan and achieve the plan targets through organization development and business & operations management
• Set clear distribution/agent engagement rules & coverage model (e.g. division of direct vs. indirect sales by product or geography or deal size) in tandem with sales and marketing teams
• Responsible for the execution and implementation of the sales plan (in order to accomplish the market strategy) and maximizing the profit of sales in the portfolio
• Owns implementation of key account management process, with special emphasis on account planning
• Discuss and align with relevant stakeholders on the what product segment/sub-segment to leverage distribution/agent channel
• Close collaboration and managing with sales organization (agents/distributers) in the region on distributor/agent channel development and agree on clear rules on direct vs. indirect sales division to minimize channel conflict
• Mentors and coaches more junior team members and other sales staff to ensure they develop the desired sales competency and contribute towards the achievement of sales targets
• Contribute to the achievement of P&L accountabilities for the country / region / global

• Cordial work relationship with colleagues.
• Compliance to all applicable policies, procedures and work instructions as per QHSE, ISO standards and the legal / regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business / Sales or other related discipline
• 10 - 12+ years of experience in which 7 years specialized with Industrial, Management Consultancy Services
• Comprehensive knowledge of the market, products and customers
