Head of Geotechnical

Westlakes Recruit is seeking an experienced Head of Geotechnical to lead the geotechnical engineering aspects of the NEOM The Line project. This role involves extensive expertise in modular buildings, steel structures, and prefabrication techniques.

Position Overview:
The Head of Geotechnical will oversee all geotechnical engineering efforts for the development of The Line project. The role includes managing soil and rock investigations, foundation design, slope stability, and seismic analysis. This position requires leadership of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring alignment with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Core Responsibilities
- Lead and manage geotechnical engineering activities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor geotechnical plans and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.
- Supervise and mentor geotechnical engineering staff.
- Prepare and review geotechnical reports and strategies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Optimize engineering solutions for project efficiency and success.

Core Requirements:

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 25+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Proven expertise in geotechnical design and analysis.

Skills and Competencies:
- Deep understanding of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, and foundation design.
- Familiarity with geotechnical instrumentation, monitoring, and laboratory testing.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and geotechnical software (e.g., Plaxis, GEO5, Slope/W).

Salary:
SAR 58200 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
