Head of ICT Operations

Job description / Role

We are seeking a seasoned Head of ICT Operations to lead the organization’s data management, governance, and ICT operations initiatives. This senior leadership role will oversee the development and implementation of data strategies, ensure data quality and security, drive digital transformation, and establish a robust data governance framework. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of leading change, managing high-performing teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and cybersecurity standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Governance
• Develop and execute enterprise-wide data management and ICT strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and frameworks.
• Oversee data ownership, stewardship, compliance, privacy, and security initiatives.

Data Quality & Lifecycle Management
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of organizational data.
• Manage master data, metadata, and reference data across systems.
• Oversee full data lifecycle: collection, storage, retention, archiving, and disposal.
• Monitor data quality metrics, KPIs, and SLAs.

ICT Operations Oversight & Architecture
• Manage ICT infrastructure supporting data management, ensuring uptime, backups, disaster recovery, and security.
• Design, implement, and maintain data platforms, ETL processes, data warehouses/lakes, dashboards, and BI tools.
• Ensure architecture supports scalability, integration, and high performance.

Team Leadership & Collaboration
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing data and ICT operations team.
• Collaborate with IT, business units, legal/compliance, cybersecurity, and analytics teams.
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.

Monitoring, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
• Define KPIs and performance metrics for data and ICT operations.
• Monitor and report progress, trends, and risks to senior leadership.
• Continuously review and improve processes, tools, and governance practices.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Experience: 8–12 years in ICT operations, data management, or digital transformation within large-scale industries.
• Proven track record leading data governance, digital initiatives, and ICT operations.
• Expertise in data management, metadata, master/reference data, ETL, BI, data lakes/warehouses.
