Job description / Role
Our client, a government organization operating from their office located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is looking to add to their team a Head of Internal Audit to oversee the Internal Audit Department of the organization.

Our client is a government organization operating to enhance, improve and enrich the lifestyle and social cohesion of the Saudi Arabian community.
Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the role is extremely hands-on in its execution. Primary to the role is directing and administering effective operational and financial internal audit programs while ensuring that the whole internal audit cycle is performed in accordance to established policies and processes, rules, regulations and the accepted accounting principles:
* Assisting in aligning the strategy and objectives of the organization to the departmental level;
* Preparing periodic reports on the department's activities and achievements;
* Preparing and managing annual budget for the department in collaboration with relevant documents;
* Overseeing the analysis and evaluation of accounting documentation, reports and data, and then produce consolidated audit reports;
* Developing audit programs and reviews financial, operational and compliance areas;
* Ensuring systematic coordination of internal and external audits;

Requirements
* Will have at least 15 years' experience within a similar role including 3 years' experience leading a similar function;
* Excellent knowledge of the Saudi laws and regulations and understanding of the regulatory framework;
* Be extremely hands-on, detail oriented, with strong problem solving, project management and risk analysis skills
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Arabic
* Will be able to work autonomously, and as part of a team
