Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A well established bank in the Middle East is seeking for a Head of IT to achieve the bank's overall strategy overlooking and in first in line in the Banking Information Technology function that includes; the systematic and technological operational business functions across geographical presence and specialized vehicles (subsidiaries); The job includes directing and overseeing the company's banking information systems and operations functions and all related projects relating to overall banking systems in operations, retail ,corporate ,branches and cards/ electronic banking systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- To be the senior technical manager and to contribute to the development, implementation and review of Gateway's corporate strategies, annual project plans, policies and procedures.
- Develop MIS, business plan and targets for the department and devise strategies
- Direct and supervise the team in their principal activities to ensure cost effective implementation of agreed business plans projects and targets
- Be a champion of change, optimizing current IT solutions whilst promoting innovative solutions to operational challenges

Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities. Prepare and implement project plans to achieve the desired outcomes.

Requirements

Minimum Experience and & Qualifications:

- At least 10-12 years of relevant experience in IT Management; similar Leadership and management role for at least 7 years .
- Knowledge in implementation of major systems and Projects (Core Banking, etc ).
- Knowledge in the various FINTECH products and services.
- Knowledge in banking systems and key Sharia Compliant products and Cash Management services and solutions
- MBA or equivalent experience in financial services.
- Strong IT knowledge skills, Project Management, familiar with Compliance and AML best practices & Corporate Governance best practices.
