Head of Supply Growth

Job description / Role

Purpose
The Head of Supply Growth will be leading the supply team with a core job of increasing company supply and assuring that the company is expanding its product selection

Responsibilities/Tasks
• Expanding current vendor selection
• Shortlisting and selecting vendors as per the company's standards
• Driving strategic negotiations to deliver top and bottom-line category growth
• Building long-term relationships by creating value, opportunities for growth, customer acquisition, and brand-building for multiple vendors
• Increases vendor participation through deep knowledge of program opportunities
• Bringing new vendors/sellers to sell their products on our platform
• Onboarding the vendors or sellers and participate in the vendor operations
• Managing inventory and forecasting within the assigned category
• Identifying areas that need vendor attention and directing the team to address issues; acting as an escalation point, helping team and vendors to resolve conflicts
• Liaising with internal departments to increase availability of products and ensuring smooth operations

Requirements

Key Qualifications
• Previous work experience in a Start-up. An experience with management consulting firm or a VC is a plus
• Structured thinking, and strong problem-solving skills
• Analytical aptitude with a shown ability to analyze/ interpret data and build quantitative models of business problems
• Proven experience in Supply Growth or Business Development on a leadership role
• Ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
• Result and target orientation with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
