Job description

As an experienced technician, health and safety, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing health, safety, and environmental practices across our projects. Your expertise will contribute to a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with local and international HSE standards. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the well-being of our employees and the success of our engineering consulting projects.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs for all employees.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records of HSE performance, including incident reporting and trend analysis.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on HSE matters, ensuring a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Stay updated with the latest HSE regulations and industry best practices, and advise the company on necessary changes.
  • Conduct HSE audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement and ensure continuous enhancement.
  • Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals for projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar HSE technician role, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards applicable in Saudi Arabia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with HSE software or systems is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
  • Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia as required for project assignments.
  • Certifications in HSE, such as NEBOSH or OSHA, are highly advantageous.
  • A proactive and safety-conscious mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • SCE certificate is required in health & safety.
