We are looking for an immediately available Health & Safety Manager to work for a multi-national Facilities Management company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This a is a great opportunity to join a reputable FM company who have recently been awarded a 5 year contract offering great stability and a platform to enhance your career. The position will be working on a Government Facility comprising a large tower building and technology centre.

The position is an urgent requirement and to be considered for the position you MUST be available to start on the 1st April. If you can\'t start within this deadline you will not be considered.

Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, monitoring and review of Health & Safety policies and procedures, risk assessments and safe working practices throughout the site.
• Provide accurate and clear interpretation of Health & Safety legislation and codes of practice, and best practice to the organisation, contractors and other stakeholders. Ensuring changes to legislation, codes of practice, regulations, policies and procedures etc are identified, communicated and implemented in an affective and timely manner.
• Ensure the provision of clear consistent, relevant and timely health, safety and welfare advice, guidance and operational support to all health & safety manners
• Undertake audits and workplace inspections of operations to proactively identify where health &
• safety management practices can be improved and to provide written guidance, where necessary,
• Implement solutions to enhance its health & safety performance.
• Prepare health & safety reports and statistical/performance data to the Contract Manager
• Carry out investigations and report on accidents/incidences and dangerous occurrences as
• necessary.
• Collate and analyse accident statistics and recommend intervention strategies: eliminate/reduce the risk of future occurrences and incidents of ill health and lost working days.
• Respond to safety concerns from employees, visitors, safety representatives, and members of the public, sub-contractors.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with managers, employees, contractors/sub-contractors, partners and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent, Additional Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. First Aid Manual Handling etc.) Desirable.
• Evidence validating commitment to continuous professional development.
• 5 years experience
• A confident and effective problem solver and decision maker.
• Able to work under pressure and deliver results to tight deadlines.
• Influencing and persuading skills.
• Training development and delivery skills.
