Employment: Full Time

The opportunity will provide the HR Advisor with a number of significant responsibilities and challenging projects that will make a direct impact in the industry. The successful candidate will need to provide professional HR advice and support to management in full alignment of business objectives by providing direct advice, guidance and support. This role maintains a link between management and employees and provides a catalyst for recommending change and most appropriate practice.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide professional HR advice and support in all HR aspects to management and staff to improve employee relations and maximize effectiveness of people management within the organization.
• Participate in development and improvement of people related practices, processes and policies.
• Provide day to day operational HR support to the respective business units in respect to employee related support on an ongoing basis to allow the business to best utilize its employee’s contributions to the business.
• Assist in process of gathering compensation and benefit information in order to advise management of market rates for staff at recruitment, transfer, promotion and annual review to allow the company to compensate employees in line with management’s compensation strategy in relation to market rates.
• Provide online, day to day HR professional advice and guidance to all employees within allocated business units on policy interpretation and application, providing guidance and information on the use of relevant support service providers and sourcing additional cost effective HR support as required.
• Proactively seek and recommend improvements in HR practices, policies and processes.
• Fully participate in HR initiatives and projects as directed to improve the service of the function.
• Build and maintain effective day to day working relationships with Country and Product Line HR representatives.

Requirements

• Generalist HR experience in some or all of the following areas: Recruitment, Benefits, HR policies, Terminations, Compensation and other relevant areas of people management
• Minimum 3 years generalist HR experience in a multinational / multi-cultural environment
• Degree level education - Business degree preferred
• Oil Industry background in a professional HR role preferred

Skills:

• Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft, especially Word and Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & listening)
• Interpersonal skills
• Experience in HR databases
