Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The role is responsible for setting the strategy and direction of the human capital division. The full HR gamut will be part of the remit including; activities, employment, compensation, Employee relations, benefits, training, and personnel administration while ensuring attraction, retention and high performance of employees.

Description

Key responsibilities will include:

* Leadership responsibilities include the overall direction, planning and evaluation of Talent Management, HR Policies & Org. Development, HR & Admin.
* Accountable for USD 50M-200M annual budget. Total budgetary preparation/compliance accountability in assigned areas.
* Responsible for direct and indirect headcount management of 90+ full-time equivalent (FTE) employees.
* Formulates the HR strategy based on the strategic objectives and business plan of the organization.
* Evaluates impact of HR policies and programs on workforce performance taking into consideration priorities, industry, size and complexity of the organization as well as risks, costs and benefits to the organization.
* Accountable for the manpower planning process.
* Ensures the organization structure is optimally aligned to deliver the business strategy efficiently and effectively. Additionally, ensures that job descriptions are prepared and updated for all approved positions within the organization's org. structure in coordination with the divisions/departments' heads.
* Sets and directs organization's rewards philosophy that includes employee value propositions, non-monetary rewards and performance based monetary rewards to motivate workforce and drive high performance.
* Accountable for annual performance appraisal process and ensures that employees' performance is evaluated in an effective and timely manner.
* Sets recruitment and retention strategy, based on exit-interview reports, employees' turnover and employment market trends.
* Conducts job interviews for top managerial positions and handles salary negotiations with selected candidates.
* Ensures a smooth exit and conducts exit interviews for employees in top managerial positions.
* Sets strategy and directs the talent agenda by overseeing the development and strengthening of the talent bench strength and leadership pipeline in order to a build high performance workforce, meet succession needs and ensure business continuity and sustainability.
* Accountable for the overall training process and ensures that development needs of the employees are effectively met. Approves training programs based on inputs from divisions/departments' heads and performance appraisals and ensures they are within the approved training budget.
* Drives the culture of the organization by championing organizational values and cultivating the desired culture of the organization with other senior business leaders and stakeholders.
* Steers large-scale organizational changes or transformation programs, acting as advisor and change champion. Leads HR transformation programs in pursuit of optimized workforce, HR technology and operational excellence in the delivery of HR services.
* Champions the adoption of workforce analytics (HR metrics and data analytics) as a business intelligence tool that enables sound and informed decision-making around workforce and people management.
* Carries out leadership responsibilities following the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; managing organizational structure.
* Strictly follows established environmental, health, safety and quality policies and procedures in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.

Requirements

The successful candidate must possess the following qualities:

* 15 years of related experience including 3-5 years at a senior managerial level, covering HR operations, preferably in industrial sector.
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration or HR.
* Language Skills (English and Arabic)
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
