Employment: Full Time

Provide HR Services, Practices, and Advice – Recruitment and Selection

• Understands recruitment and selection needs and priorities in designated areas, providing appropriate guidance and advice.
• Manages the recruitment and selection process in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Liaises with relevant government departments to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Drafts effective internal and external job advertisements that reflect the person specifications, job responsibilities, and outputs; obtains approval and places the advertisement in suitable media.
• Applies agreed criteria for screening candidates.
• Conducts initial interviews to generate a shortlist.
• Presents the shortlist to line management and arranges final interviews, offering relevant input during the final interview process.
• Completes all necessary administration related to candidate appointments, regret letters, and other relevant documentation.
• Implements and monitors the application of recruitment and selection policies and procedures within designated departments or sections.

Provide HR Services, Practices, and Advice – Training and Development

• Identifies training and development needs for designated departments/sections annually, obtains approval from line management, and communicates requirements to the Training and Development Specialist.
• Facilitates employee release for appropriate training to address identified needs.
• Completes and maintains training and development records and documentation for administrative purposes.

Provide HR Services, Practices, and Advice – Employee Relations

• Provides guidance and advice on managing employee relations within designated departments/sections, ensuring fair handling of informal and formal discipline and grievance procedures.
• Implements and monitors the application of employee relations policies and procedures within designated departments/sections.
• Manages the interface between the trade union and departmental management at the appropriate level.
• Ensures adherence to collective agreements, escalating any anomalies to line/HR management.

Provide HR Services, Practices, and Advice – Employee Performance

• Advises and guides line management in managing performance through the company-wide performance management system.
• Assists management with performance improvement plans prior to enforcing disciplinary actions for poor performance.

Provide HR Services, Practices, and Advice – Succession Planning

• Advises line management on career and succession planning, utilizing the company’s localization planning system.
• Drives relevant communications regarding localization planning within designated departments/sections.

Communications

• Initiates communications aligned with operational requirements in consultation with line and HR management.
• Acts as a custodian for the briefing system in designated areas, ensuring effective and timely information flow through line management.
• Provides valuable input on training needs and priorities, secures line management support, and relays information to the Training and Development Specialist.
• Implements, monitors, and communicates the application of training and development policies and procedures within designated departments/sections to meet specific operational needs.

Requirements:

• Education required Tertiary level with CIPD / CHRM /MBA qualification with minimum 12 years of experience in the field of HR

Other Competencies required

• Ability to align HR strategies with the company's goals and the broader mining sector, ensuring support for operational efficiency and workforce development in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
• Skills in sourcing, attracting, and selecting candidates with specialized skills in mining, geology, engineering, and other industry-specific areas.
• Proficiency in using recruitment platforms and assessment tools to hire skilled professionals and labor required in remote or challenging locations.
• Strong understanding of Saudi labor laws, regulatory standards, and industry-specific labor requirements.
• Expertise in handling employee relations, including union interface, grievance management, and collective bargaining, especially in compliance with local legal requirements.
• Competence in developing competitive compensation packages that attract and retain skilled employees in the mining industry.
• Ability to manage payroll cycles, benefits administration, and any incentive or bonus programs in alignment with Saudi regulations.
• Skill in implementing performance appraisal systems that align with company objectives.
• Ability to guide managers in using performance data for continuous improvement and to create improvement plans when necessary.
• Proficiency in identifying skill gaps and planning training programs that meet the technical and safety demands of the mining industry.
• Ability to develop, schedule, and manage training plans that enhance workforce capabilities and meet compliance standards.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards specific to mining operations.
• Capacity to promote a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with both company policies and governmental safety regulations.
• Strong cultural awareness and the ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce, including expatriates and local talent.
• Skills in effective communication, with a focus on clear policy communication, reporting structures, and interdepartmental coordination.
• Experience with localization initiatives, particularly in developing Saudi talent for leadership roles in compliance with nationalization policies.
• Ability to guide and support career growth and development planning within the organization.
• Flexibility and resourcefulness in addressing the unique challenges of the mining industry, such as remote work locations, rotational shifts, and high turnover.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address and resolve HR-related issues proactively, especially in a dynamic operational environment.
• Ability to utilize HR analytics to make data-driven decisions that support workforce planning, performance management, and cost control.
• Proficiency with HR systems, such as ERP (e.g., SAP, ODOO), to streamline processes and ensure HR data accuracy.
