Job description / Role
Key Responsibilities:
Site Inspections:
-Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
-Identify potential hazards and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.
Compliance Monitoring:
-Monitor project activities to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
-Review safety plans and risk assessments for various projects.
Training and Awareness:
-Provide HSE training and awareness sessions for staff and subcontractors to promote a safety culture.
-Develop and distribute HSE educational materials.
Incident Investigation:
-Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.
-Prepare detailed reports on findings and corrective actions.
Regulatory Liaison:
-Liaise with regulatory agencies and ensure that all necessary permits and licenses are obtained.
-Stay updated on changes in HSE legislation and implement necessary adjustments in company policies.
Documentation and Reporting:
-Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training activities.
-Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to management and relevant stakeholders.
Risk Management:
-Assist in the development and implementation of risk management strategies for projects.
-Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives.
Emergency Preparedness:
-Support the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
-Conduct drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
-Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA).
-Minimum of years of experience in HSE roles within building, road, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
-Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards.
-Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
