We are seeking a diligent and experienced HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Officer to ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment throughout the duration of the project.

Your new role, what's involved?
* Conduct regular inspections of the construction site to identify potential hazards, unsafe practices, and non-compliance with safety regulations.
* Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of the project's health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
* Identify potential risks and provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
* Conduct incident investigations to determine root causes and develop appropriate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
* Conduct safety training and toolbox talks to educate project personnel and subcontractors on safe working practices.
* Review and assess contractor safety plans and method statements to ensure compliance with project requirements.
* Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
* Monitor and report on project safety performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
* Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety regulations and reporting requirements.
* Keep up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to health, safety, and environmental practices in the construction industry.
* Communicate and promote a strong safety culture among project personnel and subcontractors.

Requirements:

We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
* Proven experience (at least 7 years) in a similar role within the construction industry.
* Sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
* Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards in the construction industry, such as OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent.
* Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with project personnel, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities.
* Ability to identify potential hazards and assess risks in a construction environment.
* Proficiency in using safety inspection tools and software.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
* Certification in HSE-related fields (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with airport construction projects and related safety considerations is a plus.
* Fluent in English and Arabic.
