HVAC Engineer

Job description / Role

• Lead in the design and detailing of mechanical / electrical projects, focusing on timeliness and accuracy, based on the specifications of the client and sales team, in order to ensure that contract deliverables are met.
• Assist the Sales engineers effectively on techno-economic aspects of cost estimating/bidding for projects.
• Guide sales engineers / drafts man to ensure technical excellence in pricing and selection of equipment’s and assist sales engineers for technical meeting with the clients.
• Capable to design HVAC drawings in the most economical / cost effective way.
• To contribute to business expansion by effective market evaluation and suggestions.
• To guide / assist project installation team whenever & wherever required for the smooth execution & cost effective closing of the projects. Assist projects team in procuring materials.
• To effectively plan, organize & manage all technical aspects of jobs/ projects assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• A Degree in Mechanical Engineering, specialization in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning
• Minimum 3-5 years relevant working experience in Design and Engineering of Mechanical / Electrical works for HVAC retrofits in large HVAC manufacturing/servicing company or in organizations having special HVAC applications of which two years’ experience should have been in similar position.
• Excellent grasp of engineering and design principles.
• An understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and AutoCAD.
• Certification / participation in Technical Workshops and Seminars.
• Experience in large HVAC installation / projects will be an added advantage
• Customer service orientation
• Technical excellence in engineering and design for HVAC and Chiller systems in particular related to service retrofit projects.
• Commercial awareness
• Good analytical and conceptual technical as well as commercial skills related to technical design.
• Results oriented and have a good attention to details.
• Having a creative approach for generating new ideas.
• Team player
• Prior experience in relevant industry in any Gulf country will be a definite advantage.
• Valid driving license (preferably, of GCC countries)
• Good Communication skills in English.
