Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Engineer (Hydraulics) will be responsible for troubleshooting and commissioning of industrial, marine and mobile hydraulic and hydraulic related / supported applications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for commissioning, troubleshooting of industrial, marine and mobile hydraulic and hydraulic supported application jobs in the workshop and customer job locations.

Carryout defect investigations, trouble shooting and site surveys.

Recording of measurements and test results as the jobs are carried out.

Carryout and monitor inspection/test of hydraulic components/systems.

Define and implement preventive maintenance plan/schedule on equipments/machinery in the workshop and job locations.

Ensure all Testing and Monitoring Equipment/Instruments are identified and maintained in good order at all times.

Reading and interpreting drawings, manuals and code specifications.

Responsible to maintain the workshop, plant equipments, accessories, etc in good order & maintenance of good housekeeping at all job locations.

Coordinate with technical staff in carrying out various tests, inspection, trails, and defect rectification/investigation of various systems / equipments in the workshop facility and at job locations.

Report and document the activities carried out in line with the documentation requirements of the company.

Ensure all transactions are carried out in compliance with the applicable standards, Company Quality (ISO) procedures and provide advice to the QHSE Department of any non-conformance issues.

Follow necessary safety regulations, applicable work instructions, operating procedures, method statements, etc. as required, in carrying out the jobs.

Use proper PPEs, spares, tools, equipments and accessories to the optimum utility.

Careful handling and preservation of customer equipments and accessories.

Report all incidents, accidents, near-misses, unsafe conditions and acts to the supervisors / Safety Officer.

Comply with all occupational health, safety and environmental procedures of both the company and of client while working.

In addition, shall also support the activities of the other units whenever requested.

Other duties associated with successful development of the unit.

Requirements

Position Qualifications:

Education& Certificates
Engineering Degree (preferably Mechanical)

Experience Level
Minimum 3 – 6 years experience in hydraulics

To be successful in the role, the employee should be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

Extensive knowledge of Hydraulic and related/supported applications viz Denison, Parker, Rexroth, Hagglands products.

Knowledge various testing, measuring, calibration, monitoring equipments/instruments and hand tools.

Extensive knowledge on Closed Loop Systems, Piston Pumps & Feedback Servo systems.

Ability to read and interpret drawings, manuals and documents.

Ability to plan, schedule and prioritize the activities.

Basic knowledge of Electrical/Electronic control systems/PLCs.

Ability to learn new applications and systems.

Commitment to continuous improvement in Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment (QHSE).
