ICT Security Design Engineer

Job description / Role

We are looking for an experienced ICT Security Design Engineer to join a leading Consultancy in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing state-of-the-art ICT security solutions for complex projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure systems are secure, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Implementation:
- Develop detailed ICT security designs for various projects, including networks, systems, and data protection.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant security frameworks, regulations, and client requirements.
- Select and integrate appropriate security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and encryption protocols.

Collaboration and Consultation:
- Work with architects, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure security requirements are integrated into ICT project plans.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to clients on security best practices and emerging threats.

Risk Assessment and Compliance:
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for ICT systems.
- Ensure all designs comply with local and international security standards, including ISO 27001, NIST, and other frameworks.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system designs, security protocols, and risk assessments.
- Provide regular updates and reports on the status of security measures and project milestones.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ICT security design, with a focus on large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of ICT security standards and technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption.
- Hands-on experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR compliance.

Salary:
SAR 10,000 to 15,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
