Immunology Lecturer

Job description / Role

We are looking for an ambitious individual specialising in Immunology teaching and research, You will be expected to have evidence of significant research activity and have clear research plans.

The post will be based in the Institute of Medicine and will specialise in immunology teaching and research.

- To provide a supportive learning environment for students to develop graduate level and subject specific skills in biomedical science and medical programmes in Chester.
- To participate in the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate biomedical and medical programmes.
- To contribute to research within the Institute of Medicine.
- To develop and implement teaching and learning initiatives.
- To develop and deliver CPD activities.

You will also be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of a new undergraduate medical course.Priority will be given to candidates with a strong publication record and interests in vaccines and immunotherapies for infectious diseases and cancer.

Research areas of interest include, but are not limited to, basic aspects of the immune response, mechanisms of vaccine protection, systems biology, and/or the development of novel adjuvants, vaccines or immunotherapies

Requirements

The successful immunology lecturer will have a Masters of Science, in Immunology, Biology, Chemistry or Applied Sciences with focused study on Immunology, Biology. You must have a minimum of four (4) years experience.
