As an Indirect Tax Director, it is our expectation that you will be able to maintain our high-quality tax services to a range of clients across a broad range of sectors. As part of your role you will be expected to conclude the below roles and responsibilities and have the following skills:

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Develop the team skills and knowledge to maintain rendering a quality tax services to the Clients;
• Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
• Ensuring the growth of the clients base from both a national and international perspective;
• Keeping track of all tax law updates and trends;
• Drafting Articles and updates to clients from time to time;
• Ability to review and sign off on KSA Tax returns, advisory works, and related objections;
• Be involved in the financial management of clients;
• Build client relationships with new and existing clients
• Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
• Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
• Responsibility for training and mentoring trainees, seniors and managers together with reviewing their work;
• Ensure all reporting deadlines are adhered to and all tax returns are timely filed;
• Build key relationships with colleagues in other countries and group entities to ensure delivering our vision of One-GCC-One firm;
• Have deep technical knowledge in indirect tax matters (including VAT, Excise Tax, RETT, and Customs);

Requirements

Skills required:
• Experience in business development and growing client relationships and revenue;
• Ability to provide ad hoc KSA tax consulting advice to inbound or outbound KSA clients;
• Experience in litigation matters and ability to draft objections and build solid arguments;
• 10 – 13 years working experience within globally recognized tax practice;
• Previous team management experience;
• Demonstrable experience in financial reasoning of client engagements;
• Ability to communicate clearly and build strong relationships at all levels internally and externally;
• Experience in working with team in remote locations;
• Analytical thinking and problem solving;
• Digitally enabled;
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit;
• Excellent English skills (Reading, Speaking and Writing);
• KSA Direct tax knowledge is a plus;
• Fluent in Arabic (preferred)
