Overview

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join our Downstream Development Academy (DDA).

The DDA is responsible for providing Downstream oil and gas employees with the technical knowledge and skills required to optimize their performance.

Your primary role will be to create training materials in collaboration with subject matter experts. You will do this through integrating the best practices of instructional design and instructional technology through the use of multimedia, software, programming, and state of the art technology.

Key Responsibilities

• As the successful candidate you will be responsible to perform the following:
• Work with customers and stakeholders to initiate new training projects and collaborate with subject matter experts to assess their training needs and present appropriate solutions.
• Apply instructional design principles to develop effective and engaging training courses for instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, and eLearning.
• Manage multiple instructional design and development projects including timelines, schedules, work scope, and deliverables for assigned projects.
• Support the development of Team members through knowledge sharing and mentoring.
• Design and collect metrics to measure the effectiveness of our training programs.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• You must hold a Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent. A Master's Degree is preferred.
• You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in instructional design and instructional technology. Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
• A thorough knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models is essential. You should be able to demonstrate lesson and curriculum planning skills.
• Experience using Windows and Mac Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, Dominknow ONE, Camtasia, Adobe Photoshop.
