Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Duties/responsibilities:
• Train and evaluate Aviation pilots in the MD530 Aircraft Simulator in accordance with the MNG Aviation ATM and specific unit ATP guidelines.
• Verify and confirm that all required flight training publications are current and complete.
• Conduct instrument training, continuation training, emergency procedure training and evaluation of customer pilots in accordance with approved Saudi Arabian National Guard/Ministry of National Guard publications (FTG’s, AR’s, TC’s, etc.)
• Conduct academic instruction and hands-on performance based training to ensure pilot proficiency and standardization of training. Responsible for completing required training, currency, and or readiness entries in individual training folders.
• Conduct MD530 Series aircraft specific ground school based training and instrument instruction in a classroom environment, or flight training device(s). Flight training duties include; contact, basic instrument, and basic combat skills under Day, Night, and NVG conditions to MNG Standards IAW government approved ATM, FTG, and POI requirements. Instruction may include any combination of Individual or Group instruction in an academic classroom environment or simulator.
• Conduct and evaluate individual readiness level progression tasks, to include instrument flight tasks during day, night, and night vision goggle (NVG), and simulated instrument flight rules.
• Prepare pilots through mission training flight maneuvers in an aircraft simulator.
• Provide aircrew proficiency training in Instrument Meteorological Conditions (IMC) under International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and or General Authority of Civil Aviation rules.
• Attends meetings as required with Customers.
• Responsible for providing direct interface and daily status reports as required between staff for training status, mission assignments, mission planning, and crew status.
• Able to maintain a professional approach, attitude, and appearance at all times.
• Develops, updates, and performs as SME in Flight Training Scenarios as required.
• Other duties as assigned and or directed by management.

Independence:
• Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods.
• Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• None. Reports directly to the Standardization Instructor Pilot.

Requirements

Education Level:
• High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Graduate of a course of instruction for IPs at an authorized Military Proponent School or Civilian equivalent required.
• Successful completion of a course of instruction in the MD530 Aircraft Flight Simulator upon assignment required.
• Successful completion of an evaluation administered by the Aviation Institute SIP in an MD530F Flight Simulator upon assignment and annually thereafter.
• 1000 total flight hours required of which 200 hrs. must have been logged as an Instructor Pilot;
• Previous NVG Instructor Pilot with 100 NVG hours preferred.
• Previous experience as an IOS Operator instructing and evaluating pilots preferred.
• Certificates: Military Aviation Proponent School or Civilian equivalent certification with rating as an Instructor Pilot. ICAO Level 4 English Language Certification required. Ability to attain a GACA or FAA Commercial Pilot Licenses upon assignment.

Experience:
• Experience in helicopter mission (Attack, Observation, Utility, Multi-Mission) operations preferred.
Specific knowledge, skill, and ability requirements:
• Knowledge of Military Aviation training concepts, administration, and logistics.
• Demonstrated ability as an Instructor Pilot of a Military or Civilian flight organization.
• Demonstrated past performance in the development of organizational plans, policies, and operational procedures.
• Ability to communicate both orally and written and effectively communicate with the customer in a professional and courteous manner. Possesses a valid Saudi Arabia driver’s license.
