Interior Design Coordinator

Job description / Role

- Leading the interdisciplinary coordination with MEP teams, joinery, specialist interiors works & other subcontractor packages.
- Leading the production of Arch/ ID shop drawings, planning the deliverables, maintaining logs in connection with the agreed program of works and adhere to the planned submission dates. Coordinate with subcontractors for their shop drawing production.
- Identify possible obstacles which may disrupt the engineering submission and prepare RFI in advance to avoid delays.
- Constantly support the construction team with required modifications as per site condition and keeping good records of any modification.
- Preparing & maintaining the material submittal log, liaising with procurement teams in order to identify long lead items delivery as per the program.
- Performing design compliance checks, Design Quality audits with the working knowledge of International & local codes of construction.
- Knowledge of working with ISO systems, EDMS (Aconex), proficiency in Auto-Cad & presentation soft-wares.
- Lead the CAD team to achieve assigned targets, daily task management.
- Equip CAD team with the most appropriate details taking into consideration the complexity of the design and feasibility.
- Attend technical meetings with client, organize coordination meeting, invite the required stakeholder and plan to achieve the coordination outcomes.
- Collaboratively working with teams of different discipline and should be able to conduct professionally.

Requirements

- The Interior Design Coordinator shall coordinate Architecture, ID drawings and specification documents with all other interface trades and transfer of imperative information between engineering and construction departments
- Lead the CAD Operators to achieve daily targets; expedite design solutions for the site team by correlating the right materials and methods to install.
- Attention to detail is a must.
- The desired candidate must have experience working on commercial interiors, high end hotel fit out projects, should have an eye for details and well versed with the constructability as well as design
