IP Service Transition Manager

Job description / Role

• Plan appropriate capacity and resources to release, test, deploy and establish the new or changed service into operational service.
• Provide support for the Service Transition teams and people.
• Plan the changes required in a manner that ensures the integrity of all identified customer assets, service assets and configurations can be maintained as they evolve through Service Transition activities.
• Coordinate activities across projects, suppliers and service teams where required.
• Plan and coordinate the resources, in collaboration with existing functional departments, to establish successfully new or changed services that can be effectively realized in an operational environment.
• Identify, manage and control the risks of failure and disruption across transition activities.
• Ensure that Service Transition issues, risks and deviations are reported to the appropriate
• stakeholders and decision makers.
• Develop existing and new processes to ensure that all stakeholder parties adopt a common framework of standard re-usable processes in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the integrated planning and coordination activities.
• Provide clear and comprehensive plans that enable the customer and business to align their activities with the Service Transition plans.

Requirements

• Excellent understanding of transition methodologies that take into account recommended ITIL Service Transition Processes.
• Strong system integration experience
• Strong experience planning the integration and and delivery of complex systems.
• Good understanding of IP communication systems architecture and infrastructure components.
• ITIL V3 foundation and Service Transition Certification and Experience
