Job description / Role
One of the largest retail organization in the region with a presence of more than 30 years, are looking for an IT Director to come in and lead, plan and direct the design and implementation of IT strategies in accordance with corporate/group and strategic objectives. You will ideally come with at least 7+ years experience of leading and managing large IT teams within the retail industry preferably in the GCC region.
Key Accountabilities:
* In conjunction with the CEO and senior management team, formulate and lead the implementation of the IT functional strategy in line with organization's vision, mission, corporate and group objectives
* Lead and direct the development, implementation, and administration of IT plan, operating budget, policies, and procedures and all related reporting standards
* Ensure effective contribution of all lines of IT expertise to address critical challenges, sustainability efforts and key business objectives
* Provide overall direction to the Application Management function to ensure the effective coordination with the business to identify emerging IT requirements
* Develop and maintain effective business relationships with all relevant internal departments and external entities such as vendors, government institutions etc.
* Define risk/ governance management strategy and plans to assure the security of the information systems, company's data, equipment etc.
Requirements
Requirements:
* University degree in IT or related discipline
* 15+ years of relevant experience including at least 7 years progressive managerial experience within the retail industry
* Oracle implementation experience
* English fluency; Arabic will be huge plus
* Strong business and industry knowledge
* In-depth knowledge in the development and implementation of IT governance frameworks, IT strategy and planning, organization design and implementation
