IT Security Engineer - GCP And IAM

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security to implement and maintain security solutions across cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in GCP security services, including, Cloud IAM / PAM, Cloud Armor and Cloud Native Firewall, ensuring a secure and compliant cloud infrastructure.

GCP Security Architecture & Implementation
• Design and implement secure cloud architectures using Google Cloud Security Command Center, Cloud IAM / PAM, Cloud NAT, and Cloud Firewall.
• Configure and manage Cloud VPN for secure hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity.
• Configure and optimize Cloud DNS security features to prevent DNS-based attacks.
• Manage operations and make sure compliance with SLA

Identity & Access Management (IAM)
• Enforce least privilege access policies using GCP IAM, Cloud Identity, and Google Workspace Security.
• Implement Identity-Aware Proxy (IAP) for secure application access.
• Configure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and conditional access policies.

Threat Detection & Incident Response
• Monitor security events using Google Security Command Center, Chronicle SIEM, and Cloud Logging.
• Investigate security incidents and automate responses using Security Operations (SecOps) and SOAR solutions.

• 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering, network security, or GCP security solutions.
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud security services: Cloud Armor, Cloud Firewall, Cloud VPN, VPC Service Controls, and Cloud NAT.
• Proficiency in Google Security Command Center, Chronicle SIEM, and Cloud Logging.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform
• Experience securing Kubernetes workloads (GKE) and serverless environments (Cloud Run, App Engine, Cloud Functions).
• Familiarity with PowerShell, Python, or Bash scripting for security automation.

Preferred Certifications
• Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer
• Google Professional Cloud Architect

Education
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
