Job Summary

The IT technical support is responsible to provide state-of-the-art technology infrastructure and systems to enable business operations in the corporate office. He is responsible for the installation and maintenance of the office's IT infrastructure, such as local area networks, servers, telecom networks, PCs, printers, scanners,etc., As per corporate IT policies, procedures and standards. He is also responsible for the provision of high quality and highly responsive IT technical support to end-users in the corporate office. The jobholder continuously captures end-users operational challenges and liaises with counterparts in the organizations to ensure the addressing of these challenges.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide high quality IT infrastructure and services to enable business
- Operations in accordance with corporate IT policies and procedures
- Capture and address end users' operational challenges related to IT
- Monitor and track users' level of satisfaction with the quality of IT
- Infrastructure and services
- Support end users on the usage of new applications and collect feedback on functionality and improvement opportunities for existing applications
- Provide technical support activities, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of support for hardware and software problems
- Provide first level IT technical support services, supporting with desktops, laptops, printers, handheld devices, operating systems, etc.
- Enforce corporate IT policies and procedures within Geographies
- Monitor performance of IT systems and services in Geographies and report
- IT performance to the Information Technology Manager
- Consolidate technology upgrade requests and evaluate compatibility with existing IT infrastructure and systems
- Support the implementation of IT projects
- Support the IT Manager with the procurement of IT hardware and software, in coordination with Corporate IT Department, as needed
- Install and set-up primary IT infrastructure (e.g. local area network, back-up servers, intra-office networks, telecom networks) in coordination with the Corporate IT Department
- Install and set-up PCs, printers, scanners etc.
- Operate and maintain IT infrastructure, including local area networks,servers, back-up servers, intra-office networks, telecom networks, PCs, printers, scanners, video conferencing, etc.
- Track IT network availability and performance and resolve operational issues
- Provide IT support in setting up supervision site offices, as needed
- Implement IT security architecture, such as authentication systems, firewalls, endpoint security, encryption tools
- Enact access rights and ensure proper authentication for access to data centers, networks, databases and applications
- Manage firewall administration and network security
- Administer e-mail servers and handling systems
- Set up and maintain anti-spam and anti-virus systems as per corporate policies
- Implement disaster recovery plans, as needed
- Identify potential and new IT application ideas to enable IT operations
- Coordinate the repair of IT equipment through vendors and third parties
- Manage IT spare parts inventory

Requirements

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
- IT certification is preferred (e.g. MCSE, CCIE, CISSP, CCNA, ITIL, A+, MCTS)

Skills

- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, solutions, applications development, network planning, and support
- Knowledge of IT security policies, procedures, and techniques
- Good analytical and quantitative skills
- Good communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation
- Good interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written Arabic & English

Experience Required to Execute the Role

- 15+ years of experience in Information Technology
- Experience with management of IT procurement process, including vendor management, product evaluation, negotiations, etc.
- Experience with IT services management, including IT infrastructure management, applications development, and support
