Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Technology Manager is accountable for the success of the various program from a technology perspective by effectively managing IT activities and perform them in line with the programs’ objectives and within the guidelines, KPIs/SLAs, timeline, and budgetary constraints. The scope includes: designing and implementing new online platforms for programs’ beneficiary applications and engagement, managing potential integrations with external parties’ systems, enhancing existing online platform design, ensuring smooth operation and maximum uptime of launched online platforms.

The Technology Manager’s accountabilities, include, but are not limited to:

Strategy & Planning:
• Design (possibly with external providers) technology platforms (e.g. websites, apps) to engage with beneficiaries in the application process for new initiatives and enhance existing platforms (for previously launched initiatives’ platforms)
• Design implementation plans and estimate budgets for launching new technology platforms
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction, service quality enhancement, security improvement, and productivity improvement

Operations
• Directly lead and perform in-house IT operational tasks (e.g. ensuring smooth operation of online platforms, react to technical issues)
• Ensure the effectiveness of delivery partners, vendors, and third party suppliers in successfully delivering the deliverables
• Monitor and get reports from partners – for out-sourced activities - and problem solve with them in case of issues
• Ensure the program complies with its, government’s, and regulator’s rules and policies from technology perspective – e.g. ensuring people privacy, security, SLAs of uptime, etc.
• Work in concert with various teams in the organization – operations, program management, communication, HR, Finance, various committees, etc. – to ensure the success of the initiatives

People Leadership
• Ensure the communication of The Program’s vision and strategies within the operations team
• Conduct staff performance reviews
• Coach and mentor employees to improve performance

Policies, Processes & Procedures
• Recommend improvements (from the technology perspective) to policies and directs the implementation of procedures and controls covering all relevant areas of so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective output.

Reporting
• Prepare timely and accurate reports of the managed initiatives in order to provide clarity on the status of their delivery to meet programs requirements, policies, and standards

Other Assignments
• Perform other related duties or assignments as directed

Salary:
SAR 32,000 to 36,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering/science, or a related field from a reputable university , 5-7 years of relevant experience in managing critical IT systems, online platforms, apps, for highly visible projects/services
• Experience supporting similar organization through the start-up phase, delivering results under pressure and tight deadlines
