Reporting to the Creative Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Performs all activities required to prepare local programs for radio broadcast, including writing and producing news oriented content for and English radio station in Saudi Arabia. This person should have a strong Command of the English language, and technical skills including superb editing with Protools (or other Editing software equivalent). Knowledge of automation equipment like Audio Vault is also essential to the overall daily performance.
A solid news background is recommended. Also, be able to serve as an on air host on a Hot AC formatted station in this capacity as a Community Engagement Liaison. This includes writing, editing and producing a weekly show using studio equipment and automation systems.

Principal Duties:
• Create programming for the news feature heard on both radio stations writing, Producing and Editing Four stories per week to be played on both stations.
• Plans advance schedule of stories to be created and planned throughout the year based on the corporate objectives and community needs.
• Follows company guidelines when crafting stories.
• Able to work with Studio equipment like Axia, Editing equipment like Protools, and Automation equipment like Audio Vault.
• Interact with listeners using Social Media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp.
• Must be able to work independently and able to work with others.

Salary:
SAR 13,000 to 16,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
• Completion of a 2-4 year college course in broadcasting or mass communications is preferred.
• Two years’ experience in radio broadcasting with an accredited public station including experience in music production and automated programming. This should include 3-4 years' Government-related work exposure in Saudi Arabia.
• Good command of oral and written English is mandatory as the programs are broadcast in English. Knowledge of another language, Arabic or a European language, to aid in the review of materials in other languages preferred.
• A comprehensive knowledge of the administrative and operational aspects of commercial broadcasting industry is encouraged.
• A thorough knowledge of the international and Governmental rules and regulations as well as local sensitivities and prescribed agreements is mandatory. Will be required to use and direct the use and care of a wide variety of broadcasting equipment.
• Be prepared to share writing and on air/produced audio samples in MP3 format.

We are looking mainly for young Saudis who have lived abroad or those with a Saudi passport with creative writing/broadcast experience.
