Job description

Full responsibility for the profitable growth and volume development of the LCL Business in Saudi and Bahrain and to ensure to adhere to all company, legal, human resources, environmental, ISO, Security and health and safety procedures and standards in respect on any LCL related business/operation.

Your tasks and responsibilities

* Active Participation in the budget/target setting sessions
* Ensure operational efficiencies, better use of our IT systems for any LCL Related matter
* Maintaining regular liaison with key NVOCCs / CFS contacts
* Keeping records and where applicable ensuring KN Rates are updated correctly and timely with both buying and selling conditions
* Reviewing and assessing the requirements, and ensuring timely completion of bids / RFQ with regard to rates from/to KSA & Bahrain
* LCL Sailing schedules updating
* Ensure competitive rates are timely update and provide to the sales team and uploaded in KN FreightNet for LCL
* KN Freightnet: take the lead in the administration
* Maintain and develop a list of direct customers (in agreement with the national sales management)
* Liaising with Sales colleagues and Operations Management to ensure competitive pricing is provided for realistic client specific opportunities, all quotations are constructed / final Selling rates are given by Operational Seafreight Management.
* Participating in joint visits and/or presentations to customers
* Working with Country Sales Management to facilitate the generation of new business from a) new business opportunities, b) existing company contacts and c) own contact (only to be pursued in conjunction with the local NC's)
* Support to coordinate rates in respect to pre- & on-carriage
* Set, distribute, maintain LCL Minimum Selling Rate
* Monitoring and follow up of sales pipelines with a focus on key opportunities
* Support the sales team with marketing material LCL related

Requirements

* The ideal candidate has a Bachelors Degree in Business/Industrial Engineering
* Prior experience in Sea Logistics of minimum 2 years is mandatory
* Experience in the Sales Department, along with Leadership experience, would be considered an advantage
* Knowledge of financial standards, principles, and procedures
* Ability to work independently
* Good communication skills
* Advanced verbal and written communication in English is essential for this role, basic knowledge of the Arabic language is highly appreciated
