Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a multinational Contractor which operates in the railway sector. They are currently involved with the management of the Design of a new metro project in Saudi Arabia.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• An understanding of international standard Contract forms e.g. FIDIC.
• Manage the projects contract administration framework, initiating change where necessary.
• Provide assistance to Project Management in all aspects of contract administration.
• Provide the Contract Management Interface during large scale contract negotiation.
• Manage the formal governance of the contracts, ensuring the contractors interests are represented in all contracts negotiations, and subsequent efficient management.
• Ensuring the proper preparation and documentation of all information recording events as background to future claims.
• In collaboration with other team members, mitigate claims and contractual disputes from subcontractors, and other potential parties.
• Assists contractual negotiations of sub-contract agreements.
• Participates in Division, Company, and Corporate strategic planning activities for specific projects (e.g., risk assessment, bid/no bid analysis, participation in business plan development, etc.).
• Provides technical guidance to assigned personnel, and ensures proficiency and timeliness of contract administration.
• Collaborates with Division and project management to ensure proper support in proposal preparation, as well as contract negotiations and administration.
• Reviews requests for proposals to identify risks and contractual terms not conforming to Company policy.
• Write, review and advise on draft letters on contractual correspondence.
• Prepare presentation to the Management, the Board and also the Client.

Requirements

• Degree Qualified e.g. Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management / Civil Engineering / Law.
• 10 - 15 Years experience (including international exposure).
• Experience of infrastructure projects - rail / metro schemes.
• Experience in Claim Management and Extension of Time claims.
