Lead Discipline Engineer, Architectural

Job description / Role

- Prepare and reviews engineering studies, design, drawings and documents, and material and equipment specification.
- Understanding of BIM system used and has the ability to coordinate therewith.
- Understanding the Project File Naming Conventions and how to segregate the Data for Clash resolution with the interaction of the 2D drawings and the BIM Modeling.
- Responsible for monitoring and inspection of on-site installation activities.
- Witnesses contractors' quality control inspections to ensure that the permanent works are constructed according to the contract, applicable codes, standards, approved drawings, and specifications.
- Reviews contractor-submitted shop and as-built drawings, materials submittals, tie-in procedures, project schedules, and work permits; and coordinates with the concerned departments for obtaining their approval and/or their comments.
- Reviews contractors' quality assurance and quality control programs, inspection and test plans, installation, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures, for equipment and provides comments for transmittal to the contractors.

Requirements

- Has a Bachelor degree in Architectural or equivalent
- Has a minimum of 20 years of experience in related field.
- Has been in similar position for the last 8 years. Preferably previous experience in Infrastructure, Government, and housing/building projects.
- Extensive knowledge of Construction Processes, Phasing of Work and Stages of Billing
- Thorough understanding of P, M, E, Civil, Structural, Safety Practices, and Architectural systems to be used on the Project
- Knowledge and experience with Scheduling and Construction
- Must have a thorough knowledge of project engineering practices, applicable national & international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
- Knowledge of computers and basic software applications: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), read construction schedules (Primavera).
- Knowledge AutoCAD and Micro station
- Preferred previous Saudi Aramco Experience
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Must have or be able to obtain Saudi Driver's License.
