Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Prepare and reviews engineering studies, calculations, design, drawings and documents, and material and equipment specification.
- Resolves specialty related engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes and standards.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of project engineering practices, applicable national & international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
- Extensive knowledge of Construction Processes, Phasing of Work and Stages of Billing
- Thorough understanding of PME, Civil, Safety Practices and Architectural systems to be used on the Project.
- Responsible for monitoring and inspection of on-site installation activities.
- Witnesses contractors' quality control inspections to ensure that the permanent works are constructed according to the contract, applicable codes, standards, approved drawings, and specifications.
- Witnesses all start-up activities to assure contractors' compliance with the approved plans and procedures.
- Reviews contractor-submitted shop and as-built drawings, materials submittals, tie-in procedures, project schedules, and work permits; and coordinates with the concerned departments for obtaining their approval and/or their comments.
- Reviews contractors' quality assurance and quality control programs, inspection and test plans, installation, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures, for electrical equipment and cable work, and provides comments for transmittal to the contractors.

Requirements

- Has a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Has a minimum of 20 years of experience in a related field.
- Has been in a similar position for the last 8 years.
- Previous experience in Infrastructure, Government, and housing/building projects.
- Knowledge of computers and basic software applications: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), read construction schedules (Primavera).
- AutoCAD and Micro station is a benefit, but not a requirement.
- Preferred previous Saudi Aramco Experience
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
