Employment: Full Time

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

- A highly experienced certified technician, capable of taking vibration measurements for various types of rotating machines to support the troubleshooting of the manufacturing facilities in order to maintain stable operation.
- A 'subject matter expert', experienced in analyzing vibration spectra and conducting root cause analyses.
- A professional capable of administering a group of professional and sub-professional staff (which may include contract staff), with responsibility for keeping abreast with current technology in the field of condition monitoring.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Administer a program for the collection of 'routine and non-routine' vibration data utilizing portable data collector.
- Manage the investigation, troubleshooting and submission of detailed reports for all vibration and rotating equipment problems by analyzing the vibration data and other relevant mechanical and process parameters
- Manage and keep current the asset management data base
- Review analyses of on-line monitoring using System 1 for critical and semi-critical equipment and provide technical advice accordingly
- Schedule, plan and manage vibration monitoring activities for equipment throughout the complex.
- Review vibration analysis recommendations, condition monitoring reports and other reports or suggestions from sub-ordinates and peers and make recommendations for improvement in the reliability of the respective equipment.
- Keep current, the tracking system for vibration measurement results and findings
- Provide technical advice and support to field MNT and MFT-operation on Reliability related matters.
- Participate in equipment related technical investigations
- Participate in commissioning and start-up of new plant and equipment, set up base line data base as required

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:

- Graduate from Industrial College or High School.
- Vibration certification - Level III
- More than 8 years' experience in 'Vibration and Condition Monitoring' in the Refining and/or Petrochemical industry of which at least 5 years was in an administrative capacity.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Sound verbal and written communication skills with a good command of the English language, both oral and written.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and other related 'condition monitoring software'.
- Knowledge of rotating equipment repair standards and best practices is an asset.
- Familiar with Reliability programs.
