Lead Structural Engineer (Buildings)

Job description / Role

My client is one of the leading construction companies in Saudi Arabia currently working on a number of major projects across the Buildings sector and are in urgent need of various individuals to strengthen the business within the Engineering department.

One of their most pressing requirements is for a Lead Structural Engineer to take the overall lead and manage the Structural building teams across the client offices in KSA. Applicants must have previous experience of working in a similar role and environment. Applicants must also be aggressive in their approach and be able to manage workload as well as helping to develop the business.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities (Not limited to):
• Report to the GM on the performance and development of the structural team throughout the kingdom from tactical, technical, strategic and commercial viewpoints
• Lead the structural engineering team in preparation of concept, detailed design and working drawings
• Coordinate structural engineers and staff across a portfolio of projects to deliver innovative, quality solutions and deliverables for clients
• Provide leadership to project teams, liaising with Project Managers, Design Managers, Discipline Leads, Engineers and Drafters.
• Lead the coordination and liaison of the structural buildings team with all technical discipline
• Provide quality structural input on projects
• Produce high quality project outcomes, deliver on time and on budget

Key Requirements:
• Must have a minimum of 15 years of related experience (KSA experience preferred)
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering (Preferred)
• Proficient in English
• Must have experience in building structural models
• Must be familiar with International Codes
• Lead a team of multi-cultural staff
