Lead Telecom Engineer

Kentz, a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for Telecom Lead Engineer to work in Saudi and Qatar projects.

Responsibilities:
- Leads a team of Senior Engineers, Engineers and Designers in the execution of the full range of engineering works for a project or projects within the Telecommunication department.
- Supervises and approves all aspects of the discipline area subject matter.

Requirements

- BS Eng or equivalent engineering degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum 12-15 years relevant experience in a professional technical capacity involving specification, design, planning, checking in an engineering consultancy or EPC company within the oil and gas industry.
- Must have worked at least 5 years as a senior engineer, supervising and guiding a team of Telecommunication engineers and designers.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of industry, national and international practices, tools, codes and standards as applicable to the discipline. Tool knowledge must be hands-on, expert user level.
- Must demonstrate a good knowledge of a wide variety of Telecommunication systems applications and integration issues typically encountered in industrial projects.
- Must possess a strong working knowledge of upstream and downstream oil & gas and/or petrochemical units and operating principles. Other industry specific knowledge may be acceptable on a location-by-location basis.
- Should demonstrate engineering leadership ambitions through completion of additional training in leadership, management and/or project management.
- Site construction and commissioning experience is essential.
- Gas Plant Processing and Refinery experience.
