The role involves delivering expert legal counsel to senior management while facilitating strategic decision-making through adherence to relevant laws and regulations. This position is crucial for safeguarding the organization’s legal interests and overseeing all legal matters associated with projects, contracts, disputes, and regulatory issues.
• Analyze and interpret Saudi laws and regulations, including commercial, administrative, criminal, and labor laws.
• Prepare legal studies, opinions, and reports to assist executive and senior management in strategic and operational decision-making.
• Oversee litigation, claims, and disputes involving the organization, coordinating with external law firms as necessary.
• Represent the organization in judicial, quasi-judicial, and administrative proceedings when required.
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure legal compliance and risk management.
• Support the development and revision of internal policies and procedures to align with legal and governance standards.
• Provide legal guidance on tenders, procurement documents, and significant project contracts, including EPC, consultancy, and PPP agreements.
• Identify legal risks and recommend mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization’s interests.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders, regulators, and legal advisors on all legal aspects of projects and operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to maintain continuity of legal support and business operations.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in law or a related legal specialization (master’s degree is an advantage).
• Professional legal certification or bar admission is preferred.
• 12–20 years of progressive legal experience.
Mandatory Industry Experience:
• The candidate must have gained his/her legal experience through working in one or more of the following environments:
• Leading international or large local law firms handling mega real estate development and large?scale construction projects.
• Major real estate development companies with large project portfolios.
• Large construction and contracting companies (Grade A) executing high?value and complex projects.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance within the real estate and construction industries is necessary.
• Expert legal counsel and strategic decision-making
• In-depth understanding of Saudi legal systems and regulations
• Proficient in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
• Skilled in dispute resolution and managing litigation processes
• Comprehensive risk assessment and ensuring legal compliance
• Effective stakeholder engagement and communication
• Strong leadership capabilities and team management skills
• Proficient analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Commitment to high ethical standards and confidentiality
• Excellent time management and ability to perform under pressure
