Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned M&A Economist to join the M&A Advisory Department.

The role supports the development and execution of transactions by providing comprehensive financial analysis activities including building and utilizing complex financial valuation models, managing valuation inputs from multiple internal and external sources, developing financial statements, risk and uncertainty analysis, and presentation of expert and objective analysis to senior management to support decision-making in respect of transactions. The role contributes to the continuous improvement of relevant processes and methodologies to become a center of excellence for valuation for the Company. A key aspect of the role is to develop, mentor and coach other team members in areas of expertise.

The individual is expected to develop relationships with financial institutions and to bring external perspectives on the M&A landscape to the Company. The role also provides ad hoc financial analysis activities including on transfer pricing, impairment reviews and group policy reviews

Duties & Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following within tight deadlines:

Provides expert and objective advice to senior management to support decision-making in respect of M&A valuations on specific transactions.

Supports the development and execution of M&A transactions by providing comprehensive financial analysis activities including building and utilizing complex financial models, including risk and uncertainty analysis.

Develops, coaches and mentors team members in areas of expertise.

Contributes to the continuous improvement of relevant processes and methodologies to become a center of excellence of valuation for the Company

Provides ad hoc financial analysis activities including on transfer pricing, impairment reviews, Shareek incentives, and group policy reviews.

Manages Financial Advisors for valuation activities on transactions. Develops relationships in banks to bring external perspectives on the M&A landscape to the Company

Supports the FIM-led mandating of Financial Advisors including the development of RFPs, selection criteria, and evaluation of proposals.

Requirements

Education & Experience Requirements

As the successful candidate, you will hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Accounting or Engineering.

Possession of an advanced business degree (e.g. MBA) is preferred, but not required.

You should have 10+ years of related experience in M&A transactions.
