***Clarification on SMP Contract: It is Supplementary Manpower service contract job in which prospective applicants are interviewed and salary determined by NEOM interview panel; and being employed under the payroll of SMP Contract (SMP Vendor). Successfully mobilized candidates would be under the visa sponsorship of SMP Vendor Company/Contract.

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Maintenance Technician specializing in Networking of Control Systems will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of control systems within our organization, primarily focusing on the networking aspects of these systems, ensuring seamless communication between various control devices and systems, troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing the network infrastructure to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.

The Maintenance Coordinator - Networking SMP responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Key Accountabilities

Networking Infrastructure Maintenance:
• Maintain the networking infrastructure for control systems, including switches, routers, firewalls, and other networking devices.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and performance of the network.
• Monitor network performance, identifying and resolving any bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
• Troubleshoot network issues and implement solutions in a timely manner to minimize disruption to operations.

Control Systems Integration:
• Collaborate with control systems engineers to integrate networking components into control systems designs.
• Configure networking settings on control devices to enable seamless communication between various control system components.
• Test and verify network connectivity and functionality after integration to ensure proper operation.

Security and Compliance:
• Implement and maintain robust security protocols to safeguard network infrastructures from potential threats.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations specific to networking and IoT implementations.
• Employ advanced troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and rectify complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network architectures, configurations, and procedures to ensure replicability and consistency.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on network performance and challenges to senior management.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Technical Skills

Networking Fundamentals:
• Profound understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, UDP, VLANs, NAT, DHCP, DNS, and routing protocols.
• Experience with network topologies, architectures, and models.
Wireless Communication:
• Knowledge of Wireless Communication technologies including Wi?Fi, Long Range WiFi, LoRa WAN, LPWAN (NP?IoT), Wireless M?Bus, Microwave and others.

Network Security:
• Understanding of security protocols, encryption standards, and best practices for securing IoT devices and networks.

Non-Technical Skills:
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Teamwork & continuous improvement.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Independent and self-motivated.

Qualifications
• Diploma , or related field.
• 7y+ experience of relevant experience.
