Maintenance Superintendent

Job description / Role

Job Purpose:

We are looking to hire Superintendent, Maintenance Equipment, this job role is to ensure The Position holder is responsible for the overall maintenance of the equipment within the zone of responsibility including CNC Cutting Machines, CNC Gantry Welding Machines, Steel Pre-Treatment Machines, Plate Rolling Machines, and other production assets.

- Must have working knowledge of OSHA/NEBOSH standards and practices.
- Understanding of Health and Safety practices.

- Understanding engineering, scientific and other technical information.
- Planning and prioritizing skills.
- Advanced Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to present data effectively.
- Excellent team working skills.
- Ability to train self and cascade knowledge to others.
- Structured Analytical skills.
- Excellent Computer Skills.
- Good understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.

Languages:
- English. (Mandatory)
- Arabic / Others (desirable)

Education:
- Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent

Experience:
- For bachelor holders at least 9-15 years, for diploma holders at 15+ years of practical experience in Shipyard or similar working environment experience.
- IFS (ERP) practical experience is a plus.
- People Management experience.

Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations):
- CAMA Certificate is a must.
- ISO31000 Lead Certificate is a plus.
- Proven experience in Shipyard or similar working environment.
