Job description

This role is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau and Looker. He or she works closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, develop analytics, present insights and ensure correctness of outputs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and maintain interactive BI dashboards and reports using Tableau and other tools.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for reporting and data visualization.
• Present analysis and insights to stakeholders and assist in interpreting data to inform decision-making.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across all reports and dashboards.
• Optimize and enhance BI reports and dashboards for better performance and improved user experience.
• Enhance and develop self-service capabilities, enabling stakeholders to independently perform standard business analysis.
• Document and align business rules and definitions with stakeholders to create consistent reports, ensuring a single version of the truth.
• Provide technical support and training to end users on utilizing BI tools and reports.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Enforce, incorporate, and comply with all necessary controls and related information security policies, procedures, practices, training, reporting, personal due diligence, and vigilance, within departmental or unit activities and operations.

Qualifications

Preferred qualification

A tertiary level qualification from a recognized institution
Tableau Certified Data Analyst

Years & nature of experience

Recommended to have 3 to 5 years of equivalent experience where required competencies and experience has been demonstrated in BI tools, particularly Tableau or similar tools. An experienced professional who is able to deliver on difficult technical tasks.
Strong understanding of data visualization principles and dashboard design.
Solid experience with SQL and database querying.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate business requirements into data solutions.
Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to handle large datasets and ensure performance optimization in BI reports.
Expertise in data modeling and ETL processes is a plus.
