Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Company: A major retail operator.

The Role:
- Assist in leading the development of IT strategies and planning long and short term vision for IT Roadmap and budget plan
- Manage relationships, team capabilities buildup, negotiations and sharing of the IT vision and strategy with the employees
- Deliver and operate all project management functions, providing leadership and coordination to the SIO activities
- Share the IT vision and strategy with the IT CIO and IT department and ensure continuous operation efficiency
- Participate in developing long term goals and strategic objectives for individual IT processes to increase operation efficiency and accuracy, improve capability development, performance management and relationship with business users
- Participate in developing the IT budget plan by collecting all budget request presented by all Head of IT Divisions and share the proposed IT budget plan to the IT general manager for approval and amendment
- Assist in performing ad hoc performance reviews to measure the quality assurance process of the department
- Manage the development of the resources’ skills and capabilities building by conducting performance appraisals and mentoring, leading to opportunities to attend trainings and certifications sessions
- Manage IT quality compliance, quality assurance and co-ordinate IT performance management
- Manage content, delivery model and logistics of successful training programs available for all employees
- Take part in leading the demand management activities for IT to strike balance between IT demand and supply
- Ensure the fulfillment of the IT Advisory Service as per OLA and manage the service catalogue of the IT Advisory Service
- Assist in ensuring that IT strategy is in line with business strategy and that business requests are duly met by IT teams
- Participate in monitoring, reviewing and providing mitigation and resolution plans on risks and issues and escalating major risks and issues to the IT steering committee, if needed
- Take part in developing and communicate standards, best practices, techniques and tools for project planning, execution, management, ongoing deliverable tracking, KPIs, and ensure policies, processes and standards are periodically refreshed

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, software or computer engineering, or equivalent
- Master's Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or related area from accredited reputable institution
- MBA is preferred
- 10+ years in a senior IT position with held responsibilities in large and diverse business settings
- 4+ years in IT management (mainly managing large teams)
- Experience with strategic and business planning methods, tools, processes and modeling of future scenarios
- Experience in large project implementation

Competencies:
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and relationship management capabilities
- Technical strategic and analytical thinking and vision setting
- Experience in a leadership role defining policies and procedures in a complex organizational environment
- Developing budgets, coaching, supervision, staffing, project management, management proficiency, process improvement
- Strong documentation, governance, control experience and understanding of systems integration
